Welcome to the fifth post in our in-depth series about the different features in TextAid.

This week, we’ll have a look at the translation feature in TextAid. Watch our quick video to get a feel for this tool.

ReadSpeaker TextAid allows you to translate between any of the available languages (for a list of available languages, visit this page). Please note that the translation feature uses machine translation (powered by Google Translate).

To use the translation feature, open the text that you would like to translate.

Click the translation icon icon to open the Translation tool.

Select the language to which you would like to translate the text., then click translate.

Once the text is translated, you can revert back to the original text by clicking Revert translation

If you like the translation, you can listen to it in the new language by clicking the Listen button. The text will automatically be read in the language it is written in.

Use the translation feature to help you in your foreign language studies. Additionally, if you come across information in a language you do not speak fluently, and want to listen to the information, use the translation feature to make sure you understand what is being said.
